Explore the curious side of everyday food, life and gardening. I'm a news promotion writer/producer by day, and someone who's just as creative at home. I like to experiment in the kitchen and explore new ways of doing things, whether it be cooking, gardening or just in life. Hopefully you'll learn something with me, because usually I have no idea what I’m doing.
If there's a new type of junk food, I'm ready to try it. If I can save a buck, I'll do it. And if it's fattening, I'll eat it. (And then feel bad the rest of the day, but hey.)
I do this blog for fun. It combines creativity, writing and photography which are just a few things I love doing.
I was first exposed to the interesting side of food in high school while working at a small, gourmet-ish restaurant called Danksin Station in Garden Valley, Idaho. You can read a little about it here. I worked my way up from dishwasher to cook and the customers couldn't tell a 17-year-old was cooking their oysters, steaks and pasta. The experience was great and now that I'm older, I feel the need to learn more where I can.
Lets explore the curious side of food together.
